A Rainbow Child

Each generation is vastly different to the last. We are indeed very adaptive and manipulative creatures… but there is more to it.

Generations of children are born with specific gifts for human evolution. I am in the wave of rainbow children. Rainbow children can really be born in any point in time, but they seem to be particularly affiliated with gen Y’s, like me. We have come to diversify the population and literally to bring more colour. Many of the parents of rainbow kids would be particularly perplexed and challenged by just how different these children are, they just don’t seem to want to conform or take up traditional ways of thinking and being. They really want to explore the world, in all its colour.

Many of these rainbow kids are avid travellers and also… not fixated on their gender and certanly not on their gender roles. The men will actually be quite capable of nurturing their young and the women will be quite capable of working and living their passions and purpose regardless of their maternal role or responsibility.

This new wave of humans also raise the rainbow flag, in support of gender fluidity and freedom. Many will be gender fluid, that’s me too. Now I am quite aware that my life would be so much easier with so much less judgement and social pressure if I didn’t pursue the love of a woman, but both my dreams and my body have persisted. In following this, my life has certainly become full of colour, complexity and pleasure… with so much growth. I feel like I am diversifying the population just by being my authentic self. I really ask this authenticity with others too. I fell it strongly when people act or speak inauthentically, I literally have a physical response in my body and I inevitably find it very confusing.

Rainbow kids are also very creative in their thinking and perceiving the world, so they come well equipped to adapt to a radically changing and challenging world.

So that is what I have gathered so far in my experience of the gen rainbow people. Radically authentic with an innate capacity to challenge the status quo… in their own unique way!

Pondering on the Rainbow serpent on my morning walk…
